Funny what blogs can do for you. Take Connect Four as an example.
“Connect Four has been solved independently by Victor Allis and James D. Allen. With perfect play, the first player can force a win by starting in the middle column. Starting in the two adjacent columns allows the second player to reach a draw; starting with the border columns even allows the second player to force a win.” - source: Wikipedia
More about solved games on wikipedia.
I started Game 14 with Philipp Lenssen who came up with this idea. I get first move, so here goes nothing!

Never seen Revolution OS? It’s playing tonight on CBC at 23h25.
“Welcome to night four of Planet ZeD, our week of documentaries about technology, culture and how the two collide. Tonight, we meet a rag-tag group of hackers and rebels who are taking on corporate America. Are they digital freedom fighters? A bunch of commies? Both?” - source: ZeD
Thanks to J C Nash for the pointer on the digital copyright canada mailing list.
The USA will probably have to wait until 2050 for this day to come: That’s All Right, by Elvis Presley is now in the public domain in Canada and the Europeen Union. Nice way to start the year if you ask me :)
Arthur Crudup first recorded “That’s Alright”, which Elvis covered a few years later in 1954.
