Elvis says “That’s All Right”, and “Big Boy” Arthur Crudup agrees

The USA will probably have to wait until 2050 for this day to come: That’s All Right, by Elvis Presley is now in the public domain in Canada and the Europeen Union. Nice way to start the year if you ask me :)

Arthur Crudup first recorded “That’s Alright”, which Elvis covered a few years later in 1954.

  2. hi! just happened to find this post…I live in Italy and record stores are now FULL of low cost Elvis compilations culled from early Sun sessions circa 1954 i.e. all the tracks that are now public domain over here in Europe…
