Doing what’s best

Thanks, but I’ll pass.

What I do, say and cheer for was never about what’s best and will never be. I mean, we already are bombarded by ads promising a “more natural look if only you’d use this or that chemical compound”, who am I to say what’s best?

I don’t listen to the best music, run the best operating system or join the best groups. I just do what I’m good at or that which makes me feel good about myself. It’s not guru-like. In the contrary, it’s very personal, hedonistic and plainly self-serving.

I want data, I want ‘wares. Scratch that “want”, it’s what I need.

People are still trying to shove down my throat better things I could do, how I could be less marginalized, etc. But why the hell for? I mean, come on, look at me! Do you really think I care about “best”?
