Sugar, Coca-Cola and headaches
I’ve been on a roll for the last month or so, except for an abrupt loss of momentum two weeks ago due to a flu of some sort which lasted about a week. Things were getting off the ground again after the flu but I suddenly was struck with nasty headaches for a couple of days. My vision became blurry, it was the first symptom, then after 30 minutes, I’d feel one, sticking its needles in my head.
This is when, after two days of agony, I figure Coke might have something to do with my condition and decide that I’m through with that black concoction and sticking to coffee from now own. Now, if you don’t know me, this might not sound like something I should be writing about, but trust me. From as long as I can remember, I’m known as the guy with the 2 liters of Coke on him, at all times. Last few years weren’t that bad, which is why, if you know me from more recently, I’m not alway seen with the sugary elixir.
So it’s been a week, haven’t felt any inkling of a headache, no sting attached. I think this small change and realization will help me in the long run, and I’m glad I could share this with you :)

I’ve never really drank pop, but as an ex(heavy)smoker I know the pain of quitting…
Although I’m somewhat keeping it in check… I’m also a heavy coffee drinker; I’m at six cups down from 12 a few years ago. Good luck.
But really if it can take the tarnish off a penny…

It’s not that bad to quit Coke, and I may still have a pop once in a while, but no more keeping a 2L handy next to me (or even in the fridge). I can sustain myself with a daily dose of coffee, say, 2 or 3 thermos :)
As for smoking, well, that I’m afraid of. One of these days…
