A few words about the GPL, Free Software (Free as in free market), Open Source Software (as in, well, it depends…):
- Here Come the Microsoft Apologists from the Open Source Initiative and the Linux Foundation
- After 10 years: What is Open Source?
- Stallman’s dream and GPLv3
- Linus explains why open source works and Q&A: Torvalds on Linux, Microsoft, software’s future
- The Large Display Paradox - I’m mentionning this because frankly, wmii and ion seem to have preemptively fixed that common problem: “What do you do with all those windows on screen?” and they both happen to be my prefered window managers.

You no longer offer http://tools.waglo.com/?
Are they somewhere else?

You’re the first person to ask, didn’t seem like there was much interest after all. Which tools did you need? Some of the stuff is a little weird to host, so it was all setup on a computer I have at home. I took it offline maybe 6 months ago, but I could probably host parts of that subdomain somewhere else.

Lots of reading…whew! This clip by Linus says it all for me:
“And the whole open source thing is not an anti-MS movement either. … Open source is a model for how to do things, and I happen to believe that it’s just a much better way to do things and that open source will take over not because of any battle, but simply because better ways of doing things eventually just replace the inferior things.”
Stick to the basics!

Robin, re: http://tools.waglo.com/
I thought durl was a very good tool. I miss using it.
Maybe you are aware of a similar service elsewhere?
